About Free PDF Editor

A completely free online PDF editor that works right in your browser. No login. No watermark. No limits. No catch.

Why We Built This

Most "free" PDF editors aren't really free. They require you to create an account, add watermarks to your files, limit how many documents you can edit, or surprise you with charges when you try to download. We think editing a PDF should be simple, free, and private.

Free PDF Editor is different. There's no sign-up wall, no hidden fees, and no watermarks. Your files never leave your computer — everything runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. We make money through non-intrusive ads, which means the tool stays free for everyone, forever.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this really completely free?

Yes. 100% free, forever. No premium tier, no trial period, no per-document fees. The service is supported by ads.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Just open the page and start editing. No email, no password, no sign-up.

Will my PDF have a watermark?

No. Your saved PDF is exactly what you created — no watermarks, no branding, no "edited with" text.

Is there a file size limit?

There's no artificial limit. Since processing happens in your browser, very large files depend on your device's memory. Most PDFs work without any issues.

What browsers are supported?

Any modern browser: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Brave, Opera. Works on desktop and laptop computers.

Can I edit scanned PDFs?

You can add text, annotations, and stamps on top of scanned PDFs. However, the existing scanned text cannot be modified (that would require OCR, which is on our roadmap).
